Condition: Very good (overall condition appropriate for age with beautiful, authentic patina on the bronze) Material: Bronze, two-tiered base made of green marble Weight: 2753 g Size: Height 27 cm, base footprint 10 x 10 cm Color: Dark brown/Dark green (bronze) and deep green/mottled (marble) Shipping: Insured parcel shipping with tracking Expressive, masterful bust of a child or infant from the Art Nouveau period / early 20th century. At the neck area hand-signed with “Löhr.” Attributable to the German sculptor Franz Löhr (1874–1918) (Cologne/Düsseldorf School, influenced by his stay in Paris with Auguste Rodin). The lively, restless surface treatment gives the sculpture a strong impressionist character. The two-tier marble base is sturdy and completes the piece perfectly.
