Splendid antique oil lamp (Student lamp style) with an egg-shaped lampshade, made of precious Murano glass with millefiori or Millefiori work. This specific style of artistic glass and its egg/mushroom shape clearly indicate production by the famous Murano glassworks Fratelli Toso, dating roughly to the 1900–1920 period. Fratelli Toso was one of Murano's most prestigious glasshouses, founded in 1854, renowned for its high-quality Millefiori creations. Objects like this antique lamp represent the pinnacle of Italian glass art and are considered collectibles of great historical and artistic value, especially such a large lamp in silvered metal, h 67 cm, with a splendid millefiori lampshade of 20 cm in diameter and 16 cm in height. This type of lamp is very rare and highly sought after, complete with everything and functioning, probably unique of its kind!
