Freddotherm - Hans Turnwald - Ice bucket - Metal - Gufo Turnwald Collection

Ice Bucket Owl "Turnwald Collection" - Freddotherm - Heavy Metal - 1970s Splendid and iconic ice bucket in the shape of a large owl, standard size, designed by Hans Turnwald for the famous Swiss brand Freddotherm in the 1970s. This specimen stands out clearly from the more common imitations or lightweight plastic variants: it is, in fact, the sought-after heavy version in die-cast metal (weight a full 1.557 kg), characterized by finely relief-carved feather details and large, exceptionally expressive and brilliant yellow lucite eyes. The bucket guarantees maximum collectibility thanks to the presence of the original double markings: 1. Original metal plaque embedded in the black felt at the base: "Freddotherm - SWISS PATENT - INTERNATIONAL". 2. Raised imprint mark inside the lid: "Freddotherm SWISS Pat.". Dimensions: • Height: 28 cm • Width: 16 cm • Depth: 17 cm • Weight: 1.557 kg Condition of the item: The piece presents itself in excellent vintage overall condition, solid, clean, and perfectly usable. The inner white plastic thermal bucket is in impeccable condition, free of cracks or yellowing. As transparently shown in the detailed macro photos (which are an integral part of the description), there are normal signs of aging consistent with a genuine fifty-year-old piece: a lack of plating at the tip of the left paw, slight wear from rubbing on the silver-plated edge along the protruding part of the left eyebrow, and a micro micro-chipping on the lower beak. These are minor details that do not compromise the exceptional aesthetic impact and the splendor of this display piece for a high-class Regency-style bar. Tracked shipping, professional packaging.
