French school (XX) - Las afueras del pueblo

Title: The Outskirts of the Town ㅤ School: French Realist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Contemporary landscape realism with hyperrealist influences ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ Condition: Apparent state of conservation stable, with possible signs of age and use. No technical conservation report. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: Composition related to the tradition of the French figurative landscape painting of the 20th century, especially with currents interested in representing rural architecture and everyday spaces. The meticulous drawing of the trees, the linear perspective of the road and the descriptive rendering of the buildings show affinities with contemporary realism, although the brushwork retains an expressiveness that differentiates it from strict photographic hyperrealism. ㅤ Interesting rural landscape representing the outskirts of a small town, crossed by a road that extends toward the horizon among trees and traditional houses. ㅤ On the left side appear several houses with slanted roofs and light-colored walls, partially hidden by trees with bare branches. On the right, an expanse of green fields opens under a grayish sky, generating a sense of breadth and calm. ㅤ The central road constitutes the main compositional resource, guiding the viewer's gaze to the back of the scene. The vertical lines of the trees contrast with the horizontality of the meadows and the roofs of the houses. ㅤ The work stands out for the use of a naturalistic palette of greens, browns, ochres and grays, interrupted by small reddish and orange zones that provide chromatic intensity. ㅤ The detailed treatment of the branches and the use of expressive brushstrokes in the vegetation convey a rural atmosphere of late autumn or winter. The composition evokes the serenity of small European centers and the appeal of landscapes away from urban life. ㅤ The work is presented unframed, allowing direct appreciation of the canvas surface and its original format. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In that case, we will require photographs of the damage to proceed with compensation. The satisfaction of the customer is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to causes such as being outside a continental territory, excess dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will in no case cover this surcharge ㅤ The courier that must cross the Swiss border may be delayed much more than normal, so, if possible to speed up processing, we will provide the Customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days, so we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us through internal messaging ㅤ Dimensions: 60 × 73 cm
