Antique Roll-Top Desk in Louis XV Style Hand-Painted Elegant roll-top desk in Louis XV style, characterized by a silhouette with sinuous forms and refined decorative painting. The front features a wide roll-top adorned with a gallant scene set in a landscape, enclosed within a shaped frame, while the upper surface, the sides and the lower frieze are decorated with delicate painted floral motifs. The wooden structure presents a warm reddish-toned color with grain arranged to create a pleasing decorative effect. The lower front frieze, with a wavy profile, is completed by two ornamental metal elements, while further decorated metal appliques embellish the front edges and the ends of the legs. The four tall, slender legs follow an elegantly curved line, typical of the Louis XV taste. A piece with great decorative charm, ideal as a writing desk, secrétaire, or refined complement for living rooms, studies, and classical interiors.
