Georg Jensen - Alfredo Häberli - Figure (3) - Oak

Georg Jensen – Alfredo Häberli – Aquamarine – set of 3 wooden design objects A special set of three sculptural wooden sea creatures from the Aquamarine series by Georg Jensen, designed by the internationally renowned Swiss-Argentine designer Alfredo Häberli. The Aquamarine collection was designed as a playful interpretation of the underwater world. Häberli reduced the various sea creatures to simple, flowing silhouettes, with the natural look and grain of the wood an important part of the design. This set consists of three different figures: * Octopus * Seal * Turtle Despite their simple form, the animals are immediately recognizable. The rounded lines, small drilled eyes and characteristic cutouts give each figure its own personality. Together they form an attractive example of Scandinavian design in which functionality, humor and minimalism come together. The objects are made of oak and are marked on the side with GEORG JENSEN DENMARK. They can be displayed together as a small design collection, but also stand nicely on their own as decorative objects. The Aquamarine series was designed in 2012 and originally included several different sea creatures. Therefore this set of three is also interesting for collectors who want to complete the series further. Dimensions Octopus W 11 × H 10 × D 2.8 cm Seal W 11.5 × H 9.2 × D 2.8 cm Turtle W 12 × H 6 × D 2.8 cm Total weight: 354 grams The objects are pre-owned and show signs of use and age consistent with prior use. Please carefully review the photos; they form an important part of the description. A charming and now less frequently offered set from Georg Jensen, with the characteristic playful and minimalist form language of Alfredo Häberli.
