Gerard van het Reve e.a

On October 2, it was 75 years since the first official national television broadcast took place. Times Flies. For already 50 years now Bert van der Veer (who doesn’t know him) produced ‘Grepen uit een kwart eeuw tv in Nederland’, in which image and text look back on a sea of remarkable TV events, making today’s TV pale by comparison. For example the TV recording broadcast by the VPRO of the party offered to Gerard Reve by the Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde at ‘de Aller-Heiligste Hartkerk’ in Amsterdam. Remarkably, Gerard Reve was on television more often. For example the author was a panel member of the sensational program ‘Zo is het toevallig ook nog ’s een keer’. In this lot one of the 200 numbered copies of “Grepen uit een kwart eeuw tv in Nederland’, with the invitation for the presentation and a drink afterwards with the compiler, the speech with which the book was christened, an original copy of the ‘note of 25 guilders’ that was used in a broadcast to heighten the festive joy. Also a copy of ‘Zo is het toevallig ook nog ’s een keer’, the controversial program that essentially had only a short life, but knocked over many sacred cows. 1. Grepen uit een kwart eeuw tv in Nederland – Het Spectrum, Utrecht, 1976 – First numbered (62/200) edition – 29 x 21 cm – 188 pp 2. Zo is het toevallig ook nog ’s een keer – Van Ditmar/Polak & Van Gennep, Amsterdam, 1966 – First edition – 22 x 16,5 cm – 160 pp Both books are in reasonably good (used) condition.
