German School (XVII) - Jongeman Tamboer met veer op zijn hoed

Painting from the 17th century, estimated 1670). Oil on panel. The panel is made of nicely aged wood. The dimensions with the frame are 82.5 x 66 cm. Without the frame, the painting measures 71.5 x 54.5 cm. In the painting there is a young man with a hat bearing a large white four on it. He is wearing a glove and in his hand is a drumstick. He is probably a drummer. The painting is in good condition. The maker is not known. Presumably this is the German or Austrian school. Known provenance is the Vendu Huis in The Hague in 2024 (see photo from the catalog). Due to its size, shipping is by arrangement; the costs depend on the destination country.
