Struck as a coin with the weight of a Gulden / Zweidrittel in celebration of the notoriously opulent and excessively expensive marriage between the Danish crown prince Christian and the Saxonian princess Magdalena Sibylla, called "Det store Bilager". Prince Christian, who was infamous for his dissolute lifestyle, died the year before his father, thus never taking over the throne. Peter Walter, a goldsmith and medalist from Dresden, rather unconventionally placed his initials inside the crown.The medal's absence from Galster's standard work is due to his policy of excluding medals minted outside the Kingdom.
