Giorgio Morandi Pittore - Saluti all'amico Prof. Luigi Magnani - 1943

Important, rare, and 'Original' postcard sent by the famous Italian painter and engraver Giorgio Morandi to Prof. Luigi Magnani, an important figure among collectors and art critics, and Morandi's intimate friend, from whom he owned about 50 works across oils, watercolors, and engravings. This postcard is a testimony to that extraordinary and fraternal friendship that bound them for decades, and which led to the creation of the famous art collection in Mamiano di Parma, Italy, later becoming the Magnani-Rocca Foundation of Mamiano di Parma, Italy. Postcard of the panorama of Grizzana, a small town in the Bologna area, where Morandi used to spend his holidays, mailed on July 7, 1943, two weeks before the fall of fascism, in the midst of World War II. The postcard has traveled; given its 83 years, it is in good condition, with some signs of wear. The photos are an integral part of the description.
