DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK We are offering at auction a beautiful sculpture representing a rare and excellent historical work by Giuseppe Amadio, an artist historically recognized with international stature. The work, titled "Banto" and dated 1982, sits in a fundamental and highly sought-after period of his production, historical and preceding his more famous and commercial phase related to his refractive picture panels. The sculpture stands out for a refined and skilled material assemblage: the warmth and memory of an ancient fragment of eighteenth-century wood dialog with copper lamina inserts and luminous colored glasses, creating an art object with a strong archaic flavor yet extremely modern. It is a unique piece of最高 quality, ideal for collectors who want to historicize the maestro's path. The work comes directly from Galleria d'Arte La Loggia in Sansepolcro, and was exhibited in a solo show by the artist in the same gallery. Additionally, it has been exhibited in a recent thematic event in our gallery, which consistently features Giuseppe Amadio's work. BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES AND CRITIC QUOTES ABOUT THE ARTIST Giuseppe Amadio (Todi, 1944) is a Italian artist of utmost relevance in the international contemporary scene. His training is profoundly marked by a crucial experience: for over twenty years he was the assistant of the great master of Italian abstraction Piero Dorazio. From this alliance he absorbed strict compositional rigor and attention to color, developing a completely autonomous and original formal and material language. If today Amadio is universally known for his rigorous monocrome extroflexions on canvas, his exploration in the 1970s and 1980s was intensely focused on sculpture and assemblage, experimenting with woods, metals and resins. The Maestro boasts a high-profile exhibition history. His ongoing collaborations with prestigious Italian and foreign galleries (with a very strong presence in the American market), together with participation in public and private institutional exhibitions and top international salons—culminating in participation in the 59th Venice Biennale—definitely confirm his central role and constant appreciation in the Contemporary Art market.
