Magnificent and rare antique pair of Art Deco / Arts & Crafts bookends, crafted by the famous German manufacturer Goberg (marks/punches "GOBERG" present on both pieces). Creator: Hugo Berger (Goberg) Origin: Germany Era: Early 20th century (circa 1905-1910) Material: Wrought iron / patinated heavy metal Motif: Stylized elephants with raised trunks Dimensions: Height about 18.5 cm / Base about 17.5 cm long (solid and perfectly stable for supporting heavy volumes). Condition: Very good state of preservation for their age, with their original authentic antique patina (some traces of wear and natural oxidation respectful of time, see photos).
