A stunning pair of Goebel Artis Orbis porcelain bonbonnières, decorated with Gustav Klimt’s iconic Stoclet Frieze – “Expectation / Fulfilment”. These highly decorative lidded boxes combine crisp white porcelain with lavish gilded Art Nouveau ornamentation, characteristic Klimt spirals and colourful geometric details. The distinctive architectural form, gold-lined edges and sculptural circular finials make these particularly attractive display pieces. The matching pair creates a strong visual statement and is an excellent addition to a collection of Gustav Klimt, Art Nouveau or Artis Orbis porcelain. The underside is marked Goebel Artis Orbis, Germany, with the Klimt artwork identification. A beautiful collector’s set in mint, new condition. Klimt’s Stoclet Frieze, created around 1905–1911 for the Palais Stoclet in Brussels, is one of the defining works of his Golden Period.
