Made by Gorham in Providence. Curvilinear terminal with cast stag head mounted to rondel; engraved two-letter monogram. Oval bowl with gilt interior. A great serving piece in the Victorian pattern, which was first produced in 1855. Maker’s stamp as well as stamp for Starr & Marcus, a New York retailer active in the 1860s and ’70s. Very good condition. Dimensions: H 8 x W 2 1/4 in. Weight: 2.5 troy ounces. #CE305
