From our selection of collectible minerals we present a splendid group of crystals on a matrix of Demantoid (Andradite garnet) with asbestos, from Val Malenco, in the province of Sondrio, Lombardy. Moreover, it is characterized by numerous Demantoid crystals of an intense green color, set in a matrix rich in asbestos, with gleaming surfaces and a pleasant chromatic contrast between the green garnets and the gray-white rock matrix, which enhances its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact. Demantoid is the emerald-green variety of the garnet Andradite, whose color is due to trace amounts of chromium and, in some cases, iron in the crystal structure. The name derives from the Dutch term 'demant' (diamond), due to its high brilliance and light dispersion, comparable to that of a diamond. Val Malenco, in Lombardy, is one of the few alpine localities known for the production of this rare garnet, here associated with serpentine rocks and asbestos typical of the area. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for very rare exceptions always indicated in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light. Shipping is carried out via reliable and selected express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 working days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping and professional, secure packaging, as confirmed by customer reviews. Deliveries can also take place the day after payment depending on the destination. It is possible to accumulate multiple purchases and receive them in a single shipment, even from auctions with different deadlines, simply by contacting us to arrange the consolidation. For important pieces, direct delivery by appointment to your home or at major European fairs is also available.
