Gregory Masurovsky (1929-2009) was an American illustrator, engraver and draftsman. Born in the Bronx, New York, he studied notably at the famous Black Mountain College. In 1954, he settled permanently in Paris with his wife, the artist Shirley Goldfarb. There he developed a distinctive style, mainly centered on pen drawing and black ink. His poetic œuvre sits at the crossroads of Abstract Expressionism and figuration.
