PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY Each item is checked, cleaned or sanitized using methods compatible with the materials and its preservation, then carefully packed. Items may be stored in different warehouses: approximately 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, special destinations or customs times. Upon receipt, check the packaging. In the presence of dents, cuts, openings or breaks, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, where possible. The absence of a reservation, photographs or packaging does not automatically determine the loss of consumers' non-derogable rights. ASSISTANCE AND REPORTS For any clarification or problem, contact us via the Catawiki order messaging, indicating the lot number and describing what was found. In case of damage, item not conforming to description or missing contents, promptly report the problem also to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within the 3 days provided by the platform procedure, so as to enable the handling of the complaint and the possible suspension of payment. This operational term does not imply forfeiture of the right of withdrawal or of the legal warranty under applicable terms. CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL When the purchaser acts as a consumer and the legal requirements apply, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without motivation within 14 days of receiving the item, pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to legal exceptions. The decision must be communicated by explicit statement to the seller, also using the Catawiki procedure. The item must be reshipped within 14 days of the withdrawal notification. For mere change of mind, the direct cost of return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. The amounts due by law, including standard initial delivery costs, will be refunded; higher costs of a more expensive delivery chosen by the buyer are not due. The refund is made without undue delay and within the legal terms, with the possibility of suspending it until receipt of the item or proof of return, according to the conditions provided by the law. Amounts collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform in accordance with the respective competencies, without prejudice to non-derogable rights. The purchaser is responsible for any decrease in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, within the legal limits. LEGAL WARRANTY AND DEFECTS OF CONFORMITY In consumer sales the legal conformity warranty provided by Articles 128 et seq. of the Consumer Code applies, also for used goods, taking into account prior use and the contractually declared characteristics. The ordinary duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, any reduction, not less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and allowed by applicable law. In the event of a defect of conformity, the consumer is entitled to remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where feasible, or reduction of price or contract termination when the conditions apply. Our commercial preference is to resolve valid disputes by returning the item and providing a full refund when appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction. When the return depends on a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary costs are borne by us in accordance with the law. Expenses for other cancellation scenarios are determined by the cause of cancellation and applicable provisions. RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM Before performing repairs, restorations, adjustments or interventions by third parties, contact us to allow issue verification and agreement on the solution. Unauthorized interventions may alter the original state, compromise verifications and affect liability for any damages or defects caused by them. There is no automatic refund for interventions commissioned to third parties. The buyer's non-derogable rights remain intact: an unauthorized intervention does not by itself cause loss of all protection for defects independent of the intervention. The returned item must include the accessories and documents received and be protected with appropriate packaging. We ask to attach the order reference and, if available, a copy of the sales document. The original receipt is not the only acceptable means to prove purchase. EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS For destinations outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and clearance charges may apply depending on the destination and order conditions. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be automatically considered due again. Where required, tax or identifying data may be requested for customs clearance. The passport number will be required only if actually needed according to applicable rules or the carrier's documented instructions or competent authority. We invite buyers to check in advance for import restrictions. For goods subject to special regimes, including CITES or cultural property rules, shipment remains subject to the legal possibility of export/import and the necessary documents. IDENTIFICATION OF THE CUSTOMER AND DATA PROTECTION In the case of distance selling of precious items subject to identification obligations, a valid identity document is required and identification is performed remotely according to the modalities provided by the applicable law. If indispensable information is missing to comply with a legal obligation, the operation cannot be completed until regularisation. Any cancellation and refund will be managed with Catawiki according to the applicable laws and conditions, without automatic exclusion of responsibility.
