The architectural volumes are built using whites, ochres and oranges that contrast with the greens of the vegetation and the clear blue of the sky. The composition combines landscape depth with a notable simplification of forms, giving the town a strong visual prominence. ㅤ The work is presented with an important frame of a classical nature, worked in silvery and golden tones, with ornamental relief moldings and a clear inner band that enhances the painting’s luminosity. ㅤ Guillem Villa Bassols was a 20th-century painter closely linked to landscape and the representation of populations and Mediterranean environments.
