After co-founding the Künstlercompagnie, he stood out in 1886 at the Burgtheater. Deeply affected by the loss of his father and brother, in 1897 he participated in the creation of the Vienna Secession, which became a benchmark of the movement. Klimt displayed bold works here before continuing his path by founding in 1905 the Austrian Federation of Artists. Until his death in 1918, he enriched Art Nouveau with a rich, sensual, and decorative style, leaving a lasting mark on art history.
