Hamilton - American Classic Intra-Matic Auto Chron - H384160 - Men - 2010-2020

A0000005065 We present for auction one of the most celebrated and coveted vintage-inspired chronographs in contemporary watchmaking: the Hamilton Intra-Matic Auto Chrono. This piece is part of the prestigious American Classic collection and stands out for its unmistakable “Panda” dial, characterized by a matte off-white or cream background that elegantly contrasts with its two black sub-dials. This design is a direct homage to and faithful replica of the famous Chronograph A launched by the brand in 1968, perfectly capturing the spirit and aesthetics of motor racing in the sixties. The case, made of mirror-polished stainless steel, measures a balanced 40 millimeters in diameter, sitting impeccably on any wrist. The watch stands out for its robustness and character thanks to a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment that emulates the old plexiglass crystals, but offering modern scratch resistance. On its side you can see the classic mushroom-style pushers and a screw-down crown that guarantees water resistance of up to 100 meters. Inside beats the automatic Hamilton H-31 caliber, a Swiss-manufactured movement based on the legendary Valjoux architecture, delivering a notable 60-hour power reserve and excellent chronometric precision. The condition of this specimen is excellent, as can be seen in the detailed photo gallery. The steel case retains its factory-original shine very cleanly, showing only very slight superficial fibers from occasional and careful use, with no dents or deep marks. The sapphire crystal is completely pristine and free of marks. The black alligator leather strap, 20 mm, is in magnificent condition, maintaining all its flexibility and useful life. The mechanism has been properly serviced: the chronograph functions respond firmly, the reset to zero is exact, and the quick date change works perfectly. An exceptional opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to acquire a chronograph with a strong historical payload, timeless aesthetics, and the proven reliability of the Swatch Group. The watch will be meticulously protected and securely packaged for urgent shipping with a tracking number to ensure flawless delivery. It will be sent in a presentation box for proper preservation. Happy bidding!
