Alle Auktionen / Kunst und Drucke / Henri de Toulouse Lautrec - Moulin Rouge: La Goulue - 1970s

One of the most famous and revolutionary subjects in the history of advertising graphics and world art: the poster “Moulin Rouge: La Goulue,” conceived by master Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The 1970s reissue magnificently captures the hypnotic energy of Montmartre nights, portraying in the foreground the famous dancer Louise Weber (nicknamed “La Goulue”) as she performs the dizzying can-can, framed by the dark silhouette of dancer Valentin le Désossé and the surrounding audience. An evergreen piece of decoration with a very strong visual impact, perfect for art poster collectors, vintage lovers, and interior design enthusiasts. The poster presents in overall good condition. As visible in the attached close-up photos, there are: • Minor signs of wear and handling along the outer edges of the paper (two tears at the top). • A slight superficial tear on the right-hand side (visible in the close-up detail), which does not at all affect the main figure or the readability of the poster. • Minimal signs due to rolling or past storage.
