The maker is Henri Désiré Grisard, born in Paris, France, in the year 1872. A splendid as well as uniquely large statue/bust featuring the Gallic priestess/seeress 'Vélleda'. Her likeness with the helm, feathers and ermine fur gives her a romantic and historical appearance. This beautiful terracotta bust is of exceptional beauty—and because of its fragility will be shipped very carefully packed with an insured value equal to the purchase.
