Overview Open bracelet with a minimalist silver design featuring three natural Herkimer crystals, known for their clarity and double-terminated crystal formation. An elegant, understated piece where the visual impact lies in the purity of the mineral. 2. Measurements and weight Measurements: 7x 5x 1 Weight: 14.39 g 3. Mineral identification Herkimer Quartz (high-purity quartz variety with natural terminations). 4. Chemical formula SiO₂ 5. Hardness and density Hardness: 7 (Mohs scale) Approximate density: 2.65 g/cm³ 6. Visual and geological interpretation Herkimer crystals are characterized by natural growth with double termination, requiring no cutting. In this piece the original prismatic shapes are evident, with slight internal inclusions that confirm natural, untreated origin. 7. Mineral history Herkimer crystals owe their name to Herkimer County (New York, USA), where specimens of great transparency were already discovered in the 18th century. They have historically been valued by collectors and jewelers for their natural, perfect formation, which sets them apart from other quartz. 8. Mounting and craftsmanship Open rigid bracelet in silvered metal with a matte finish, designed to highlight the mineral without interference. The setting respects the natural form of Herkimer, without artificial faceting. 9. Design and aesthetics Contemporary, minimalist aesthetic. The arrangement of three crystals creates visual balance, contributing discreet elegance and versatility for daily wear or collection. 10. Authenticity and testing Uncut crystals, with natural geometry irregular internal inclusions Characteristic transparency of authentic Herkimer There are imitations in glass or treated quartz on the market; this piece presents characteristics consistent with natural material. 11. Condition Excellent condition, from an unused batch. 12. Provenance Commercial-origin piece based on natural Herkimer crystals, selected for clarity and formation. 13. Market, scarcity, and investment Authentic Herkimer crystals, especially when mounted to respect their natural form, are increasingly valued. Their combination of aesthetics and authenticity strengthens their appeal for both jewelry and collection. Authentic specimens, especially in well-mounted pieces, are becoming less frequent, which reinforces their potential for appreciation. 14. Origin recognition These pieces represent the interaction between natural geological processes and human work in extraction and selection, where effort at origin is essential. 15. Care and conservation Avoid direct impacts on the crystals. Clean with a soft cloth without abrasive products to preserve the natural luster of the quartz and the metal finish. 16. Conclusion A piece that combines mineral purity, minimalist design, and authenticity, ideal for both personal use and collection. Choosing an authentic piece is not just a purchase; it is a conscious decision that combines beauty, discernment, and real value.
