HÖK (1984) - Marilyn's Boxer - Vertical Extra Large XXXL

CONCEPT OF THE WORK - Marilyn's Boxer Marilyn Monroe, one of the most iconic faces in cinema history, becomes a true fighter in this HÖK piece, where Hollywood glamour meets the power and rebellion of urban art. Inspired by Muhammad Ali's spirit of self-improvement, Marilyn appears with striking pink boxing gloves, ready to face her own challenges. An image that symbolizes her struggle to make a name for herself in an industry dominated by appearances, commercial interests, and the major producers. Behind her beauty and star image lay an ambitious, persevering woman determined to prove she was much more than a sexual symbol. Her path to recognition was full of obstacles, but she managed to become a legend that continues to fascinate generations. HÖK reinterprets this story with a burst of vibrant colors, splashes, graffiti, and references to consumer culture, creating a contrast between the fragility of fame and the strength needed to achieve it. **A work that celebrates determination, courage, and the ability to fight for one’s own dreams**, turning Marilyn into a symbol of resilience and overcoming beyond the silver screen. ──────────────────────── HÖK ARTIST HÖK Artist’s works are part of private collections in more than 20 countries and have been exhibited in art galleries in Spain and Europe.
