Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / Holy water font - Deruta - 1980-1990 - 34 cm
Polychrome maiolica holy water font of Deruta tradition, about 30 cm high. Some elements are particularly interesting: * two side figures and a cherub/angel at the top; * in the center a dove, symbol of the Holy Spirit; * decoration very rich in yellow, blue, green and orange, typical of Umbrian maiolica; * shape and modelling recall the historicist holy water fonts that reproduce ancient Deruta models.
