HONG KONG (SAR). Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation. 100 Dollars

HONG KONG (SAR). Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation. 100 Dollars, 31.10.1973. P-185c. KNB73d. 1 Million Serial Number. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. WL suffix. The Lychee Red $100 was a short lived series issued from 1972 until 1976, spanning from the VU to WY prefix, giving a total of just 20 odd suffix combinations. All lucky serial numbers are therefore relatively rare compared to the later issues, and the 'million' serial number especially so in this nice 64-EPQ grade. Consecutive with the solid 9 offered in the previous lot. Highly popular, exceedingly rare and the first time seen by the cataloguer.
