ICF - Charles & Ray Eames - Chair - EA117 - Aluminium

ICF Aluminium Group EA117 office chair, swivel and height-adjustable, with a polished aluminum frame, base mounted on 5 wheels and white netwave upholstery. The chair is in excellent condition, with slight signs of wear, as shown in the photo. The Aluminium Chair is one of the greatest design pieces of the 20th century. Charles and Ray Eames conceived and designed this chair in 1958 for the private residence of an art collector in Columbus, Indiana (USA). To realize it, the designer duo abandoned the shell-seat principle, instead stretching a panel of fabric or leather between two aluminum side elements to create a taut yet elastic seat. The chair adapts to the body and is very comfortable, even without complex padding.
