IRON METEORITE, Aletai (China, 1898) Beautiful shape! - 18.7 g

In this batch we present a precious Aletai meteorite (China, 1898) of an ideal size for a good collection of specimens or for jewelry work, in perfect condition, in which we can see its exterior crystallization, giving it a very beautiful shape. Metallic meteorites come from the cores of large asteroids, and were formed over 4,000 million years ago inside that asteroid, cooling their temperature by only a few degrees each million years, which caused iron and nickel to crystallize into octahedra, hence the name of “octahedrite.” An excellent opportunity to add this universe wonder to your collection.
