From a private collection for sale: M33 helmet of the Italian Army Bersaglieri. This is an Italian military helmet Model 33 (Mod. 33) outfitted for the Bersaglieri corps. Shell and interiors: Made of olive-green painted steel, it features the classic M33 construction with three ventilation rivets. The inner lining is perforated leather and the chinstrap is in hemp. Inside the shell is stamped the code SS73. Portapiumetto and plume: On the left side is fitted the plume holder in leather and metal that holds the distinctive plume made from rooster tail feathers, a badge emblem of the Bersaglieri. Camouflage netting: The helmet is wrapped in an original brown hemp camouflage mesh equipped with a wooden tightening lever, used to reduce glare on the shell and to secure branches for camouflage.
