NUCLEO 1: The Archive of the Great Italian and International Publishers 50 Postcards – Strictly Uncirculated – Fior di Stampa Quality Private archive collection consisting of 50 early-century and early 1900s postcards. San Marco Ferry with Campanile and passenger standing. Year 1919. Absolute philatelic rarity with mirror time-cancel "12 - II" (Venezia Ferrovia). Photograph by renowned photographer signed "Fot. Anderson". Autograph text by Lily Del Panta (Petriolo). Excellent condition (tiny ink specks in the sky). 2. Rezzonico Palace on the Grand Canal with people waiting for the ferry. Year 1928. San Marco Postcard A.T.V. Addressed to the illustrious scientist Prof. Iginio Spadolini (Florence), uncle of future Prime Minister Giovanni Spadolini. 20c stamp with slogan "Use urgent postal parcels" over the Venezia Ferrovia cancel. Excellent condition. 3. Grand Canal with white felze gondola and gondolier in white jacket. Year 1922. Rare iconography with white felze gondola (summer/ceremonial version). 15c stamp with sought-after slogan stamp: "Pray your correspondents to add... the postal district number". Perfect condition. 4. Aerial view of the San Marco Basin. Year 1937. Rare bird's-eye view. Sent to Prague (Czechoslovakia) with dense text in Czech. 75c Imperial series stamp with slogan "The Tripoli Lottery will make you millionaires". Perfect condition. 5. Doge’s Palace, lively scene with white frame. Year 1928 (Christmas Eve). Prized original edition "Cesare Cappello - Milano". Addressed to the Very Reverend Canon Conte Galli in San Miniato (Pisa). 20c stamp with slogan "Use urgent postal parcels". Perfect condition. 6. Vaporetto No. 18 passing under the Accademia Bridge and workers on a samp boat. Year 1936. Lively period scene. Sent to Germany (Wuppertal) with mixed postage (10c Cesare + 15c Siracusana). Slogan stamp "The Merano Lottery will make you millionaires". Scalloped edge. Perfect condition. 7. Ponte dei Sospiri with canal and gondolas. Year 1932. Addressed to Marchesa Isabella Guglielmi (Isola Maggiore, Perugia). Thick period handwriting invading the page margins. 30c stamp with slogan "Users, request the opening of a postal savings account". Perfect condition. 8. Columns of Marco and Todaro and façade of the Doge’s Palace. Circa 1915. Prized photomechanical edition signed "Brunner & Co. Zürich" (No. 7573). 5c green Sabauda Eagle stamp. Sent by Maria Casareddo to Genoa. Perfect condition. 9. Basilica of St. Mark photographed from the upper loggias of the Doge’s Palace. Year 1928. Rare elevated view from the loggias of the Doge’s Palace. A.B.U. edition with refined scalloped edge. Sent to the famous philologist Prof. Maurice Wille (University of Liège). Double postage (5c + 20c). Excellent condition. 10. Sculpture of the Madonna with Child (Sansovino) at the Loggetta of the Campanile. Year 1914 (Pre-WWI). Art edition from the famous Venetian publisher "Ferd. Gobbato" (No. 324). Greeting text "Buone Feste" on the front. Sent to Florence with double circular cancel "Firenze Legnaia". 5c green stamp. Perfect condition. 11. Panoramic view of the Punta della Dogana with sailing boats at rest. Year 1934. Evocative vintage harbor scene with historic ships. Perfect condition.
