The layout is a single-time, three-hand display with a rigorous and minimalist aesthetic: it features main hour markers of mixed, applied metallic silvered and polished type, consisting of a double baton index at 12 o'clock and arrow-point indices for the remaining quarters and hours. The outer minute track is engraved with small recessed dots. Under 12 o'clock the historic cursive signature "International Watch Co." is printed on two lines above "SCHAFFHAUSEN", while above 6 o'clock the word "AUTOMATIC" is printed in black baton-style font, completed by the inscription "SWISS" at the bottom of the dial.
