Ixo-Atlas - GM TDM 3714 "Rosa Parks" bus number : 2857 Krimpverpakking Rosa Louise Parks-McCauley (Tuskegee (Alabama), 4 February 1913 - Detroit (Michigan), 24 October 2005) was an American civil rights activist. She is best known for her act of resistance in 1955 when she refused to give up her seat in the rear reserved for blacks to white passengers. This happened when the front section of the bus reserved for whites became full.
