Jean Jacquelin - SNCF - Jean Jacquelin - Emprunt National

Original SNCF advertising poster dating from 1975, issued to promote the financial obligations of the SNCF Loan. Illustrated by the famous French poster designer Jean Jacquelin. This work is distinguished by an abstract, elegantly composed graphic design, characteristic of institutional creations from the mid-1970s. Jean Jacquelin stylizes a railway landscape where fluid lines, rendered in a range of blues, turquoises and touches of orange, cross each other to symbolize movement, the network and speed. A piece with a sober and highly graphic design, particularly sought after by 20th-century abstract art enthusiasts. • Artist: Jean Jacquelin (signature printed on the plate at the bottom right) • Publisher / Issuer: SNCF (Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français) • Year of issue: 1975 • Technique: Offset printing on period paper • Dimensions: Standard railway poster size: 62 x 100 cm • Condition: Good condition (wear from use) Carefully packaged.
