Complete set in 2 volumes: * Volume I: 622 pages * Volume II: 624 pages, with the final note “Fin du deuxième et dernier volume.” Thus 1,246 pages in total. Important medical treatise of the 19th century addressing a very wide range of pathologies: fevers, inflammations, skin diseases, nervous ailments, respiratory and digestive diseases, etc. Beautiful uniform half-bound in dark morocco, marbled boards, spine decorated with fillets and blind-embossed motifs, titles and volume numbers in gilt. Very fine interior condition for books from 1842: paper remarkably fresh and clear, printing sharp and perfectly legible. Occasional foxing, folds and marks of time. Bindings solid showing some wear and signs of use. Beautiful complete set of 19th-century medicine, totaling over 1,200 pages and particularly well preserved inside.
