His long-term Watershed project documents the French Broad and Tennessee River systems, addressing issues of recreation, sustainability, industry, and environmental impact. This photograph titled Blue Ridge Paper Mill depicts the Canton, North Carolina mill within the surrounding mountain landscape, juxtaposing industrial activity with the natural environment. Rich’s photographs are held in collections including the Library of Congress, High Museum of Art, Asheville Art Museum, and Museum of Contemporary Photography. He received his MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he is a professor of photography. Excellent condition; not examined out of frame.
