Jiri Kolar (1914-2002) - Omaggio all'alfabeto

This is a prototype print handmade and signed in the bottom right corner, J. Kolar 90 P (P stands for Paris). It depicts motifs of alphabets and typographic characters arranged in a radiating pattern, topped by a large blue circle of constellations that symbolically unites them. This image will later be used as a poster for the International Year of Literacy 1991. It will also be used as the cover image for the book "Dare tempo al tempo. Variazioni sul tema nella poesia italiana del Novecento", edited by Alma Gattinoni and Giorgio Marchini, Giulio Perrone Editore, 2016. I attach - for information purposes only - photographs of the poster and the book cover. The condition is perfect, there are no creases or stains. The paper is high grammage. Shipping will be tracked and the packaging carefully prepared, laid flat between rigid boards.
