Joan Vizcarra - Uncle Scrooge McDuck "The King of Money"...

- Hand Signed by the Artist - Unique Original Artwork - Certificate of Authenticity Included - Ready to Frame Long live the King! Joan Vizcarra crowns Uncle Scrooge as the "King of Money" in one of his most elaborate and spectacular Disney compositions. Designed as a Gothic stained-glass window, the piece shows Scrooge like a medieval saint-king: haloed, crowned with jewels and wrapped in an ermine royal robe. In one hand he holds a sceptre topped with a golden dollar sign; in the other, a bulging money bag. Behind him, a castle, a sword, a golden chalice and a pile of gold coins complete his royal treasure, all framed by pointed arches, flowers and heraldic ornaments. Brilliant golds, deep reds and intense blues give the work the glow of real stained glass, and the dense, intricate drawing rewards close inspection in every corner of the sheet. With a nearly full-surface composition, it is a piece with real presence on the wall. Disney's richest duck, finally on the throne he deserves: a must for Scrooge collectors and lovers of Disney art. ▸ Original gouache on art paper ▸ Format: 50 x 35 cm (unframed) ▸ Unique, hand-painted original, hand signed by the artist Joan Vizcarra is one of Spain's most recognised illustrators, admired internationally for his expressive and highly detailed style.
