John Ruhl for the J.B. Hirsch Foundry Art Deco Cellist Figurine

An Art Deco Cellist figurine designed by American sculptor John Ruhl for the J.B. Hirsch Company, circa 1932. The mixed-material construction features a bronze finish with a celluloid head. The statue is set on a rectangular marble base. The rear of the stool is marked with raised cast characters reading 1932, J B H, J Ruhl. The figure is secured to the base with two nuts on the underside. Dimensions: 5"W x 6.25"H Weight: 3.4 lbs. Condition Request Condition Report As is.
