Josef Dlabal (1920-2004) - Place de la Vieille Ville - Prague

Josef Dlabal (1920-2004) - "Old Town Square and Church of Týn in Prague" - Oil on heavy cardboard. Charming oil painting in miniature format (11 x 14.5 cm) by the Czech painter listed as Josef Dlabal (1920-2004). The work depicts a lively and colorful view of Prague's famous Old Town Square. In the background stand the emblematic Gothic spires of the Church of Our Lady before Týn, towering over the picturesque warm-toned façades and the historic arcades of the square. In the foreground, a stylized crowd brings a beautiful urban dynamic to the composition. Faithful to the artist's style, the work is distinguished by a generous brushwork, a textured application of matter (impasto painting), and a luminous palette that wonderfully captures the vibrant atmosphere of the Czech capital.
