The Jotha Liliput 111W is an extremely rare valve radio produced in Germany in 1952, an authentic miniature jewel of the German radio industry of the postwar era. With its only 16 centimeters in width, this surprising radio represents one of the most curious and fascinating expressions of miniaturization of radio sets from the early fifties. Made by Jotha-Radio of Königsfeld, in the Black Forest, it is distinguished by its elegant dark brown Bakelite cabinet, the characteristic front grille with horizontal slats and the two circular knobs with refined amber hues. Completing the design, a small rectangular talking scale, which gives the device an immediately recognizable appearance. Despite its extremely compact size, the Liliput 111W houses a genuine medium-wave valve receiver, a testimony to the ingenuity of the German builders of the era.
