Jounet (Albert)

Jounet (Albert). Harmonic harmony? Wait no. The user asked to translate. Let's just present translation as: Jounet (Albert). Messianic harmony. Social redemption. Religious, philosophical & aesthetic questions. Social question. International question. Saint-Raphaël, at the author’s, Villa Saint-Antoine, Victor Chailan printing, 1901. A softcover volume, original printed cover; 86 pp + errata leaf. A singular program of spiritual and social renovation combining Christianity, universal fraternity, and pacifism. Jounet here lays out the statutes of the Universal Alliance, of the “Grand Love, World Council” and of the Fraternity of the Holy Star; he also develops his project for a Harmonists party and its proposals for international arbitration. An interesting document for the study of the relationships between Christian esotericism and social utopia at the turn of the 20th century. Provenance: Nancy Psychic Studies Society, with stamps on the cover and the warning; number “46” repeated on the front cover.
