Sculpture “God bless Emanu‘el” – turquoise blue and polished aluminum Artist: Karl Lagasse Magnificent sculpture reproducing a fragment of the famous cryptogram “One,” carrying a message of peace and love, installed at the entrance of the city of Deauville - [Crytogram de Deauville] (https://www.indeauville.fr/activite/sculpture-cryptogramme/). This work is delivered with its velvet embroidered cover, signed KARL LAGASSE, artisanally crafted in Normandy. • Details: Signed and numbered artwork. • Edition: Limited series, numbered copies from 01 to 33. • Authenticity: Delivered with the official authenticity certificate from the artist. • Shipping: The artwork will be sent with a random number, subject to stock availability. Delivery information: You will receive our shipments, domestic and international, exclusively via DHL Express, our logistics partner. The works are shipped from the artist based in the United States to our logistics platform in France, which handles import and customs clearance, before being individually returned to our collectors without constraint. The transport cost includes all charges from the United States to your home. IMPORTANT: NEVER accept a damaged package without opening and inspecting it. If the artwork is damaged, you must refuse delivery and indicate the reason for the refusal on the delivery note, noting issues such as “broken,” “scratched,” “damaged,” or “folded.” If only the packaging is damaged but the contents are intact, you may accept the package. Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained recognition in 2009 with his One Dollar sculptures, ranking that year among the top ten sculptors under 30 according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him as one of the fifty best contemporary artists, inspired by traditional American icons, in its work FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art. More recently, in 2016, at the Art Paris Art Fair, the President of the French Republic warmly congratulated Karl for his impressive 2-meter bronze sculpture One Dollar, exhibited at the Grand Palais. Karl Lagasse’s artistic journey began at age 7 with collages, spurred by his meeting with sculptor César Baldaccini. He later turned to tagging and graffiti in the Paris metro while remaining passionate about collages. Artist Yvaral Vasarely encouraged him to fuse his tags with his collages. In 2003, Karl prepared his first exhibition in Paris, which led to his first solo show in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels. In 2008, he returned to Paris with an exhibition combining paintings, sculptures, and video elements at the Espace Pierre Cardin. 2026: - Completion of the work One Dollar Green Bronze 8 meters 7 tons. The largest One Dollar sculpture in the world created by the artist. 2025: - Installation of the monumental work Reflection of the Sun. Installed near the newly built Pavillon des Bains, on the Promenade Michel d’Ornano, inaugurated by Mayor Philippe Augier on September 8. 2024: - Art Miami - Group exhibitions Galerie Nicolas Auvray New York. For the occasion, a bronze crytogram of 1m80 and a 2-meter One Dollar were exhibited during the event. - 50th anniversary of the Deauville American Film Festival; for the occasion, the artist created 18 bronze trophies as well as a 2-meter sculpture to be installed at CID. The Aspen Times covered the event in a dedicated article. - Rapper Rick Ross posed with a special St Regis edition of One Dollar. 2022: - New York: Times Square NY City, projection on the Nasdaq screen of the work “A One Dollar in the Cyberspace City.” - Presentation of American Film Festival trophies to Thandiwe Newton, Jesse Eisenberg, Ana de Armas… 2021: - New workshop in Austin, Texas, USA. - Solo exhibition of the artist. - Finalization of the sculpture “Ascension of Christ” after several years of work. - Moulding at Fonderia Del Chiaro (Italy) Pietrasanta. 2020: - Start of work on the largest piece ever created by the artist: the One Dollar Bronze Green 8 Meters. - Deauville American Film Festival: he creates a new sculpture in collaboration with the town of Deauville, inspired by the barriers of the Deauville promenade (the boards). 2019: - Deauville American Film Festival: the artist created a new sculpture, representing his dollar engraved in aluminum. - The artists who received the work that year are: Johnny Depp, Sophie Turner, Pierce Brosnan, Geena Davis... 2018: - Creation of a new sculpture for the trophy of the Deauville American Film Festival; among the artists who received the artist’s trophy sculpture are: Morgan Freeman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Elle Fanning, Jason Clarke and many others... - Group exhibitions Galerie Art Expo. - Several One Dollar sculptures by the artist exhibited inside the Royal Monceau Hotel. - The artist painted a monumental work on a wall of 54 meters, Psalm 4, at the Street Art Museum in Brussels. 2017: - Karl Lagasse succeeds the prestigious Cartier Maison in creating the trophies for the Deauville American Film Festival. 2016: - Art Fair Paris at the Grand Palais - A two-meter tall “One Dollar,” fully bronze, was exhibited at the Art Paris fair. - The French president visited the exhibition and personally congratulated the artist on his work. - First in Spain at Atrium Gallery in Marbella, solo exhibition with new collections in the presence of the international press and the mayor of the city, Jose Bernal Gutierrez.
