Keramis Boch - Raymond Chevalier - Dish - Earthenware - Keralux plate

This square deep dish in glazed earthenware is a creation from the Keralux manufacture, a renowned brand developed by the Boch Frères pottery factory in Belgium. The piece features a rich late Art Deco inspired polychrome decoration with a large stylized central floral rosette in orange, brown and cream shades, enhanced with shiny gold leaf patterns. This central part is surrounded by a wide circular band combining turquoise and orange hues, from which golden foliated scrolls emerge. The four corners and the borders of the dish display a deeper green shade structured by a pleated or gadrooned relief, scattered with small bouquets of stylized flowers in gold. The outer rim of the dish is also outlined by a golden border that follows its shape with rounded corners. On the reverse side, the piece bears two complementary underglaze printed markings with the Keralux collection name written in black Gothic letters just above the official green circular Boch Frères Belgium stamp. The recorded dimensions of this item are 4.5 cm in height with a width of 27.5 cm on each side. The individual and total weight of this dish is 1250 g. Regarding its condition, the object is in very good general condition with a glaze that retains all its original brilliance and a pictorial decoration as well as gilding that show only tiny and normal signs of wear with no chips or structural cracks.
