Kirsty Wain (XX) - Mediterranean Still Life with Lemons - No Reserve

An vibrant original artwork by contemporary artist Kirsty Wain. Painted in a loose, expressive, semi-impressionistic style, this still life captures a sun-soaked Mediterranean feel. The composition features a pitcher filled with fresh water and sliced lemons, resting alongside a mound of whole and halved lemons on a patterned orange-and-white tablecloth. Overhead, branches laden with green foliage and ripe lemons frame the scene against a soft pinkish backdrop. The energetic brushwork, vivid citrus yellows, and contrasting teal blues make this an uplifting focal piece for modern or classic interiors. Frame not included About the Artist Kirsty Wain is a British painter currently living and working in Spain. Deeply connected to the Mediterranean landscape, her work offers an expressive, emotive interpretation of the surrounding environment. Drawing strong inspiration from Post-Impressionism and the bold colour theory of Fauvism, Wain uses vibrant hues, textured application, and fluid line work to capture the intrinsic energy, spirit, and light of a location. Her paintings, frequently focused on ancient olive groves, hillside pines, and sweeping terrains—seek to translate fleeting personal moments and deep emotional ties to place directly onto the canvas. Wain’s distinct visual language continues to gain international visibility, and her paintings are held in private collections around the world. ´ I love colour. I love nature. I love art. Together, they are my language. ´ K Wain 2025 Artist Profile & Education Background: British contemporary landscape painter based in Spain, combining her artistic practice with a long-standing career in art education.
