Kothan - Rug - 295 cm - 205 cm

Replica of the old Chinese Khotan rugs from Afghanistan, made of pure wool with a Turkish knot on a cotton warp. It has a density of 140,000 knots per square meter. The wool comes from the mountains of Afghanistan. The mastery of the weavers is evident in the treatment of the color combinations. They are very fine carpets and soft to the touch. The reproductions we are making capture the designs from private collections or museums where these carpets are exhibited.
