Kuifje 06 - De Zwarte Rotsen - A46 - 1 Album - Reprint - 1947

Offered is the sixth Tintin album, 'The Black Rocks', in the second edition from 1947. The second edition (in Ottens catalog: 1.2) has the same blue spine and the same back (A46) as the first edition. What differs are the copyright (1947 versus 1946) and the type of paper. The first edition has the more fragile / thicker wood-containing paper. The second edition has wood-free paper, and thus also counts as the first print run with wood-free paper. Condition: excellent for this rare album! The cover is very neat, as is the spine. The edges show very light wear, the corners likewise. The book block is in gorgeous condition, with absolutely minimal creases and/or discoloration. There is a name stamp on the title page. See also all the photos! Very fine collector’s album, especially in this condition. Shipping = insured.
