A0000004758 René Lalique – Vase “Sauge” No. 935 – Art Deco, 1923 Exceptional vase model Sauge, designed by René Lalique in 1923, one of the most representative creations of the French master glassmaker's Art Deco period. This piece perfectly embodies the stylized naturalistic language characteristic of Lalique, with an elegant motif of sage leaves that envelops the entire body of the vase in a delicate relief. Made in molded-pressed glass, it features the characteristic acid-etched satin finish that diffuses light softly, combined with an attractive green-toned patina that enhances the depth and detail of the vegetal design. Its globular form with an elongated teardrop profile and a narrow neck provides a balanced and sophisticated silhouette, very decorative and highly recognizable. The model is signed on the base “R.
