Large Jett & Diamond Earrings Made in Our Workshop

Black and white, shine and shadow, day and night: these contrasts have accompanied us through every era of jewellery history. This combination was particularly popular in Art Deco, but even the Classicism of the Empire had a weakness for the brilliance of non-colours. This classic piece of jewellery history has inspired a whole new pair of earrings. Because every now and then, on our forays through antique stores, auction houses and flea markets, we find fragments or pieces of antique jewellery that don't seem wearable as they are, but that we can't pass by. We hand these objects over to our goldsmith. He is always delighted with these little finds, as he can let his imagination run wild and give them a new lease of life. In the case of this pair of earrings, we have used historical diamonds in their original white gold settings from around 1930 for a new creation. The two precious old European cut diamonds were cut around 100 years ago. Underneath them, we have had movable pamphlets made of shiny black jett attached to small bars. With the newly added gold hooks, the precious gemstones can be worn as earrings. The result is elegant ear jewellery that combines old and new.
