Larimar lot from the Dominican Republic

Varied sizes from 4 to 6 centimeters long. This lot brings together 16 natural Larimar pendants, each cut as a cabochon in free, organic shapes (points, triangles, drops), highlighting the veined patterns so characteristic of this blue-to-turquoise stone. Each piece is bezel-set in 925 sterling silver, with the hallmark visible on the bail. Total weight of the lot: 227.90 g. Larimar is reputed as the stone of serenity and calm communication. Associated with the energy of water, it would promote relaxation, emotional expression and a return to inner calm — a stone one willingly wears as a daily companion of peace. Larimar is found in only one place in the world: the Barahona region in the Dominican Republic. Discovered in the 1970s after a resident spotted it washed ashore on a beach, it owes its name to the contraction of the discoverer’s daughter’s name, "Larissa", and the Spanish word "mar" (the sea), a perfect nod to its hues evoking Caribbean waters.
