Laukaan Puu - Ilmari Tapiovaara - Dining table - Pirkka - Wood

Scandinavian design dining table, model Pirkka, designed by Finnish interior architect Ilmari Tapiovaara and manufactured by Laukaan Puu in the 1950s. The table is made of high-quality pine and features a beautifully restored brown finish and black-lacquered birch legs. Beautiful craftsmanship with gracefully designed components and sturdy mortise-and-tenon joints. Early edition in the largest size. Lovely original, marked mid-century table. Fantastic set together with the Pirkka dining chair (advertisement is for the table only!). Condition: Good to very good vintage condition. The tabletop has been restored. Old lacquer layers have been removed, the top lightly sanded, major imperfections filled, and then brown-coated with a clear finish. The top retains its warm character with accompanying minor signs of use. The table sits solidly on its legs. The legs have been repainted on the ends. Dimensions: Length 180 cm, depth 80 cm, height 68.5 cm Shipping: The chairs can be shipped. The shipping costs are indicative. The final price will be determined after purchase.
